This four-week class is intended for participants at all skill levels, from novice to professional. Whether you have a camera phone, a DSLR, or a mirrorless camera, this class will help you create images like a pro. On week one we will walk you through how to adjust the controls of your camera to optimize creative control. You will learn how to create stunning images of silky waterfalls and freeze motion of fast-moving objects, like athletes and birds in flight. Week two will focus on compositional techniques that will forever change the way you look at a scene through your camera. Your Facebook and Instagram images will be the envy of your friends and family. On the last week we will explore how the quality of light (including direction, softness, and color temperature) can make the difference between “meh” and “wow.” Participants will have multiple opportunities to practice the techniques covered in class.
What to bring: Bring your cameras and your user manual, if you have one.

About the instructor: Joe Giitter is an award-winning photographer and an adjunct professor of photography at Bellevue University. Many of his images have been published in books and magazines.
