SOLD OUT: Traditional Leaded Stained Glass Workshop

Leaded stained glass is one of the oldest forms of window making, going back over a thousand years. It predates the copper foil method by many centuries and is the technique used in the great cathedral windows of Europe. It’s known for its strength and bold, architectural look. In this class we’re using that same historic process adapted for
smaller, modern designs.
In this workshop Valerie will introduce you to that same historic process. You will create a 7” x 7” geometric leaded panel, framed in zinc metal with a pewter chain for hanging. You will learn how to cut and grind glass, cut lead, solder and assemble. The color scheme will be as in the photo, but you are free to decide color placement. All materials provided.

• Cancellations made between one week and 24 hours prior to the start of the class are eligible for a 50% refund, minus processing fees.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class are not eligible for a refund.
• Processing Fees: All refunds are subject to a 5% non-refundable fee to cover credit card processing costs.

Inclement Weather

The Hot Shops follows the Omaha Public Schools closing policies for inclement weather. If Omaha Public Schools close due to weather conditions, Hot Shops will also close, and all scheduled classes or workshops will be canceled.

If your class is canceled due to weather, we will make every effort to reschedule it for a future date. If a make-up class cannot be arranged, your registration fee will be refunded.

You will receive a class registration receipt from PayPal once payment is made. Valerie will email a reminder the day before class.
