SOLD OUT: Traditional Leaded Stained Glass Workshop

Leaded stained glass is one of the oldest forms of window making, going back over a thousand years. It predates the copper foil method by many centuries and is the technique used in the great cathedral windows of Europe. It’s known for its strength and bold, architectural look. In this class we’re using that same historic process adapted for smaller, modern designs.
In this workshop Valerie will introduce you to that same historic process. You will create a 7” x 7” geometric leaded panel, framed in zinc metal with a pewter chain for hanging. I will have lots of strips of colored glass to choose from to create your own unique design! You will learn how to cut and grind glass, cut lead, solder and assemble. No experience required – just bring your creativity and leave with a stunning, handcrafted piece. All materials provided.
