Beginning Drawing for Teens – 3 weeks

In this 3-week beginning drawing class for teens, age 13-17, we will explore basic drawing techniques and styles. Some of these techniques and styles include; adding shadows and highlights, blending, contour drawing, and drawing from observation. Step by step instruction in a calm and inspiring environment.

Bring an 11″x14″ sketchbook
Graphite pencils (2B and 6B) to class.
12 inch ruler

Take both Beginning Drawing and Open Drawing Lab to get the full experience. You will get an hour of absolute basic drawing instruction and another hour following you will have the time to explore and process the ideas you learned in class. Open Drawing Lab is a self guided drawing time. You get to bring your ideas, questions, materials, and we provide the space for you to explore your creativity and an instructor on hand to answer any questions.
